How to increase your transfer limit at Profee

5 minutes

At Profee, we always welcome new clients. Creating an account and sending a transfer is relatively easy. However, there are certain limits to the number of transfers and their amount, so you may consider increasing them sooner or later. This article will break down the process of getting the Plus level.

Profee is a client-oriented service: we want to make all the processes easy and comprehensive. Signing in and sending money with Profee literally takes a few minutes, and we tried to optimise the process of increasing your limits. To make this procedure easier and faster, we created the Profee verification bot.

How to start the verification?

Log into your Profee account, and go to the ‘Account levels and limits’ section. Scroll down for the ‘Plus’ level description and the ‘Upgrade to Plus’ button. When you click this button, you will be redirected to the verification bot.

If you logged into Profee via your PC but would like to continue with your phone (for example, to simplify uploading your documents), you may scan the QR code that will appear in the chat.

How to pass the necessary checks

Identity proof

The bot will ask you to provide a document proving your identity. You may send a photo of your EU passport (a double-page spread with your personal information and address) or your ID card (photos of both sides of the card).

Gustav is a citizen of Austria who lives there and sends money abroad with Profee. When Gustav was upgrading to Plus, he provided photos of both sides of his ID card.

Please, mind that we do not accept residence permits as documents proving your identity.

Mariami lives in Paris. She is from Georgia, but she studies in France. Mariami has a student visa and a residence permit in France. Yet, to prove her identity, Mariami sent a photo of her Georgian passport with her personal information.

The bot will automatically verify your document. We will ask you to resend the document’s photo if its quality is low.

Liveness check

We will ask you to turn on your front camera and turn your head so that the system can prove your identity. We do not save the video after the check. Therefore, it is safe for you.

For some clients, proving their identity and completing the liveness check is enough. However, at times we also need to confirm your address – for a variety of reasons.

This is all! Most Profee customers get an upgrade to Plus after proving their identity. After completing the two checks, they get an annual limit of 30 000 EUR.

Proof of address

In some rare cases, we need a proof of address to complete the upgrade process. We will ask you to upload a photo of a document proving your address in the EU. We accept bank statements, tax documents and utility bills issued for you within the last 180 days.

Please, mind that we do not accept residence permits as documents proving your address.

Mariami has a residence permit in France, but she knows that Profee does not accept it for verification. To prove her address in Paris, Mariami provided a statement from the French bank where she has an account.

Bogdan is from Romania, but he works in Berlin. To prove his address in Germany, he took a photo of the electricity bill with his name, which he received a couple of weeks ago.

If the document proving your address exceeds one page, we will ask you to send a photo of each page.

How long does Profee verification take

Our system performs a check of the information you provide automatically. Almost all of our clients go through the verification in 5-10 minutes and get more transfers and a higher limit right after that. However, in a few cases, the check takes longer, as the system cannot approve your submission, and our specialists step in to verify them manually. Anyway, we are doing everything possible to make this process easy and fast – and are more than sure that you will go through it seamlessly.
