FAQ

What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is a mobile payment service from Apple that allows payments in stores or on the web using an iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or newer models of MacBook. If you have one of these devices, add your Profee card to your Apple Wallet and use it to pay with Apple Pay. If you would like to check the compatibility of your device with this service, you can visit support.apple.com/km207105.

What does it cost to use Apple Pay?

There is no charge to use your Profee card with Apple Pay.

Is Apple Pay safe?

Apple Pay substitutes your physical card in a secure environment that can be used to execute payments without the need to enter your card details or swipe your card. Apple Pay uses security features built into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. You must also have a passcode set on your device, and you may also use Face ID or Touch ID. Upon the execution of a transaction, your unique Device Account Number, in combination with a transaction-specific security code, is used to process your payment. Apple does not store your Profee card number and it does not retain the details of your transactions. Hence, Apple does not share your actual card numbers with any merchant, nor are they transmitted during any payment transaction.

Which Profee cards can I use with Apple Pay?

Currently, only Profee VISA cards can be used with Apple Pay. Other cards are not supported.

Where can I use my Profee card with Apple Pay?

Your Profee card can be used with Apple Pay for in-store contactless payments, in-app and online payments anywhere Apple Pay is available.

What if my Apple device is lost or stolen?

If Find My iPhone is enabled on your device, you can put it in Lost Mode, rather than cancel your Profee card. Apple Pay can be reenabled if you find your device. You can disable payments from your Profee card on your Apple ID account page. Erasing your device remotely using Find My iPhone will also remove the ability to make payments with your Profee card using Apple Pay. This will work even if your device is not connected to the internet. You can re-add your Profee card if you find your device. You can also contact Profee Customer Support to suspend or remove your card from Apple Pay:

  • in online chat in your Profee app or on a web site
  • by email at help@profee.com
  • by phone at +357 22 000 253*

*Phone lines are open from 9am–9pm on business days. Your call may be monitored or recorded.
